Therapy for individuals who struggle with anxiety and trauma
Symptoms of trauma and anxiety are overwhelming and scary.
You don't feel safe in your body and feel like no one understands.
You want to feel more in control over your emotions and understand how to manage triggers.
You can’t talk your way out of trauma and anxiety! Through somatic therapy, you can learn to slow down your own nervous system and heal wounded younger parts.
Accelerated Resolution Therapy is an eye-movement based treatment which is incredibly effective on trauma after just one session. The best part is you don’t even have to talk about the traumatic event to see results.
You want to feel better but don’t know how to start. Let’s talk.
My approach
I want to help you to learn how your nervous system works and how to calm down your anxious body! I use somatic (body-based) techniques as well as cognitive (thought-based) techniques because you can’t talk your way out of trauma. I also love to explore childhood dynamics and inner child work and talk about messy families and generational trauma.
I am a current third year student in the three year Somatic Experiencing program

Megan McCullough, Clinical Social Work/Therapist, LISW-CP, LCSW-C
Hi, I’m Megan! I’m so glad you’re thinking about reaching out for therapy! I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in South Carolina and Maryland and specialize in working with anxiety and trauma. I am somewhat irreverent, appreciate dark humor, and will meet you where you are in your journey! If you choose the option of telehealth, there is a high likelihood that you will see one of my cats make an appearance.
I have a deep understanding of the military lifestyle as an Army brat, a Veteran combat arms Army officer, and an 18-year military spouse. I have lived and traveled extensively across the world and am a Southern transplant from the Pacific Northwest.
I have experience working for the Department of Veterans’ Affairs, the Defense Health Agency, and Johns Hopkins Medicine.
